An established Chartered Accounting practice in Bella Vista, within Sydney’s North-West business corridor, is seeking a capable Associate who wants to progress beyond senior employee status and move toward equity participation over time.

The Opportunity

Working directly with the principal, you will play a key role in managing an established portfolio of SME clients while assisting with the continued growth of the practice.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing business services and tax engagements
• Supporting workflow oversight and team coordination
• Developing and strengthening client relationships
• Contributing to business development initiatives

This role is designed to allow the right individual to integrate into the client base and operational leadership of the firm.

The Client Portfolio

The practice services a stable base of predominantly small and medium enterprise clients, many of whom rely on the firm for ongoing advisory and tax support.

The work therefore extends beyond compliance into genuine client relationship management and advisory engagement.

Who This Role Would Suit

This opportunity will appeal to an accountant who is already operating at a senior level within public practice and is beginning to think about long-term ownership.

You will likely have:

• 7+ years’ experience in public practice
• Strong capability in business services and tax
• CA or CPA qualification
• Confidence managing client relationships independently
• An interest in developing leadership and commercial responsibility

Pathway to Equity

The intention is to work toward a structured equity transition within approximately two to three years, allowing time for:

• integration into the client portfolio
• increased operational involvement
• gradual transition of responsibilities

This approach ensures continuity for clients and a considered pathway for the incoming professional.
